Rick Ebster, founder of Bird Dog Inspections, is as genuine and kind as they come; detail oriented and conscientious as well. He has handled challenging commercial equipment on the daily and personally worked on numerous remodels of houses, small and large. From commercial exhaust systems and refrigeration, to stoves and ovens of industrial and residential size, Rick has dealt with it all.

Once a full-time Realtor from 2005 to 2008, Rick found it wasn’t his thing, but this stint in real estate highlighted his innate talent in one particular skill; bird-dogging the heck out of a property’s condition. Since translating this skill into a new career in 2017 Rick has thrived, obtaining state and national certifications beyond the standard, and performing more than enough inspections to earn Master Inspector status.

Rick loves his job, especially helping people understand their future property’s condition and the quality of their investment. “Every inspection shows me some interesting history or story.” The real estate experience also provided Rick a clear understanding of the Realtor’s need for a teammate; communicating to their client in a clear and empathetic manner, while accessible for questions.

Away from work, Rick cooks up gourmet meals, manages projects on his ranch, mountain bikes & surfs in the summer, snowboards in the winter, loves a good poker game, and enjoys his horses and dogs; having a special bond with the oldest, Dash, their German Shorthair Pointer (his Bird-Dog).
